To join ChamaConnect, you must create an account using a valid mobile number and email address. Your account gives you access to table banking features, savings tools, and accounting features. Ensure your details are up-to-date to enjoy uninterrupted services.
Usage Guidelines
Use ChamaConnet to save, lend, and track funds within your table banking group. Blockchain ensures every transaction is recorded securely.
- Use the platform for illegal activities (e.g., fraud, money laundering).
- Attempt to bypass security measures or manipulate the blockchain ledger.
- Share misleading or harmful content within group interactions.
Breaches may lead to account suspension or termination and legal action under Kenyan law.
Liability Limitations
ChamaConnect is not liable for losses due to circumstances beyond our control, such as network outages or unauthorized access due to user negligence. We strive to maintain a reliable platform but recommend safeguarding your account. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, including the Data Protection Act, 2019.
Amendments Policy
We may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal changes, or operational improvements. You will be notified of material changes via email, SMS, or in-app alerts at least 14 days in advance, as required by the ODPC. Continued use of ChamaConnect after updates signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Subscription Fees
ChamaConnect offers a free basic plan for small groups. Premium features, like advanced analytics or smart contracts integration, may incur a small monthly fee—details are available on our Pricing page.
Refund Policy
- Refunds for premium subscriptions are available within 7 days of payment during a free trial or if dissatisfied, provided you notify us at “admin@muiaa.com”
- No refunds are issued for group contributions processed via the platform.
Billing Process
For premium users, billing occurs monthly to maintain access to advanced features. You’ll receive a notification at least 7 days before any deduction, giving you ample time to review your subscription, adjust your plan, or ensure your payment method is ready, keeping your experience with ChamaConnect uninterrupted.
User Responsibilities
It’s your responsibility to maintain sufficient funds in your payment account—whether mobile money or another method—to cover contributions and fees, ensuring continuous access to loans, analytics, and group tools. If a payment issue arises, notify us of any disputes within 14 days of the transaction by contacting admin@muiaa.com or +254-723-655011, so we can resolve it promptly and fairly.
User Conduct
ChamaConnect fosters financial collaboration and trust. You agree to:
- Use the platform respectfully and in line with group policies.
- Avoid prohibited activities, including fraud, harassment, or attempts to undermine blockchain integrity.
- Comply with Kenyan laws, including the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, 2018.
Prohibited Activities
Do not use ChamaConnect for fraud, money laundering, or harassment. Attempts to hack or manipulate the blockchain ledger will result in account suspension and legal action.

ChamaConnect, operated by MUIAA Ltd., prioritizes your privacy by collecting only essential data—like your name, mobile number, email, and transaction details—to enable table banking features such as savings, loans, and group management, all secured by blockchain encryption and compliant with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.
We use this information, with your explicit consent, to process transactions, provide financial reports, and send updates via SMS or email, while anonymized data may improve our services, never sharing personal details with third parties for marketing without permission.
Account Integrity
To maintain the security of your table banking group, keep your login details—including passwords and PINs—confidential and do not share them with unauthorized individuals. We aim for 100% uptime but may need occasional maintenance to enhance features like blockchain security or financial reporting—whenever possible, we’ll notify you in advance via email or in-app alerts to minimize inconvenience.
Indemnification Clause
By using ChamaConnect, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChamaConnect and MUIAA Ltd. against any claims, damages, or costs arising from your misuse of the platform, such as violating these Terms or engaging in fraudulent activities.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Kenya, reflecting our commitment to operating within the local legal framework. Any disputes arising from your use of ChamaConnect will be resolved in Kenyan courts or through alternative dispute resolution methods

User Agreement
By continuing to use ChamaConnect after notified changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms. This mutual understanding supports our mission to provide a secure, blockchain-driven platform for Kenyan table banking groups while adapting to your evolving needs.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability remains limited to what Kenyan law allows, excluding responsibility for indirect damages or losses from unforeseen events. This ensures ChamaConnect can focus on delivering reliable services like real-time financial reports and tamper-proof transaction records without undue risk from external factors.
Governing Law
All modifications to these Terms remain under Kenyan jurisdiction, with disputes resolved in Kenyan courts or through alternative methods. This consistency reinforces ChamaConnect’s commitment to operating legally and fairly within Kenya’s legal system.
